The Eleventh Amendment

Amendment XI

"The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State"

The 11th Amendment prevents suits against States by citizens of their own State or other State in Federal Court.

In Violation of the 11th Amendment Foreign Countries Join DOJ in Suit Against Arizona

Comment;

I think that Arizona is being a little extreme on how they are treating immigrants.   I am not saying that I agree with people from other countries to come to the US and stay illegally, but Latinos are not the only people coming from other countries.  Why don't they also discriminate people from Europe?  I can see why other South American countries want to join Mexico in this case.  I just don't think they will win it.

As I was watching this video (which is only one out of six more) I was amazed, horrified to see what I thought only happened in movies or fiction books.  I cannot believe that there is a place where they treat people like that.  The fact that they are mentally retarded does not mean that they should be treated like that.  They have feelings and even thou they cannot express how they feel it does not mean they are not suffering.  What makes me even more angry is the fact that the state can get away with this, just because the Eleventh Amendment says that the state cannot be sued.  And my question is; where are the human rights here?  or These people does not count as humans?
